Jing Lu has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Starting in 2007 as a Summer Intern at Keithley Instruments, Jing then went on to work as a Research Assistant at Tsinghua University's Microelectronic Institute's CAD group from 2005 to 2008. In 2008, Jing joined the University of California, Santa Barbara as a Research Assistant and Ph.D. Candidate in the Mishra group within the ECE Department. This role continued until December 2013. From December 2013 to March 2014, Jing worked as a Research Associate at UC Santa Barbara's Nitride Center. Then, from March 2014 to September 2015, Jing served as a Senior Device Engineer at SanDisk. Following this, Jing worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Veeco from October 2015 to October 2017. Since October 2017, Jing has been employed at KYOCERA SLD Laser, initially as an MTS Process Development Engineer and currently as a Senior MTS Development Engineer.
Jing Lu has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tsinghua University, which was earned between the years 2001 and 2005. Following this, from 2005 to 2008, Jing Lu pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Microelectronics at the same university. Later, between 2008 and 2013, Jing Lu attended UC Santa Barbara, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
