Daniel Chang

Staff Engineer at Slice

Daniel Chang has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Daniel started their career as a PC Network and Informations Consultant at Cornell University from September 2005 to June 2007. In 2011, they worked as a Front-End Development Intern at Digital Warehouse Agency, where they learned and created web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

From 2007 to 2013, Daniel worked as a Mathematics Teacher at NYC Department of Education, where they taught AP Calculus, Trigonometry, and Algebra. Daniel achieved a 133% increase in pass rate for Algebra 2 and Trigonometry and had the highest Regents pass rate for repeaters across disciplines. Daniel also taught an AP Calculus night class to international students from Beijing.

In 2014, Daniel transitioned into the software engineering field and joined The Flatiron School as a Software Engineer. Daniel worked on the development of https://learn. co/ and its supporting services until March 2016.

Following that, Daniel worked at Zipmark Inc. as a Software Engineer from April 2016 to February 2017.

Currently, Daniel is employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Slice since May 2017. Recently, they have been promoted to the role of Staff Engineer in September 2021.

Daniel Chang attended Cornell University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Asian Studies. Following that, they went on to The City College of New York from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a Master's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education.
