Pantelis Maroudis

Pantelis Maroudis has over 13 years of work experience in various roles related to data engineering and analytics. Pantelis is currently working as a Principal Data Engineer at Slice, where they started in June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Kaizen Gaming as a Principal Big Data Engineer from March 2023 to June 2023, and as a Big Data Engineering Team Lead from March 2022 to March 2023. In these roles, they led a team of 5 engineers and was responsible for the design and maintenance of the company's data lake.

Before joining Kaizen Gaming, Pantelis worked at Databricks as a Senior Resident Solutions Engineer from February 2021 to September 2021. Pantelis was a member of the Professional Services team, where they provided customer enablement and conducted code reviews and architecture optimizations.

From January 2020 to February 2021, Pantelis served as the Big Data Team Lead at JCDecaux, leading a team of 3 engineers in the development of audience measurement data-based products. Pantelis was also a Big Data Engineer at JCDecaux from May 2018 to January 2020, where they played a key role in the industrialization and deployment of various audience measurement platforms.

Additionally, Pantelis has experience working in the automotive industry. Pantelis was the Innovation Tech Lead/Project Manager at Valeo from January 2017 to May 2018, leading driver behavior modeling activities. Pantelis also worked as an Algorithm Engineer at Valeo from March 2014 to January 2017.

Pantelis started their career as an Engineering Intern at Airbus in April 2013, where they developed a simulation platform. Pantelis also completed university projects at ISAE-SUPAERO, where they worked on algorithm development for panoramic image reconstruction and optimization techniques for multiple hypothesis tracking.

Furthermore, Pantelis has experience in computer programming. Pantelis served as a Computer Programmer Analyst during their military service in the Hellenic Army, and they worked on their final thesis at NTUA, developing algorithms for surveillance systems.

Pantelis Maroudis has a strong educational background in the fields of Aeronautical and Space Systems, as well as Electrical and Computer Engineering. Pantelis pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Aeronautical and Space Systems from ISAE-SUPAERO, completing their studies between 2011 and 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, studying from 2004 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Pantelis Maroudis has also obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise. Pantelis earned the "Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark 3.0" certification from Databricks in March 2021. In January 2020, they achieved the "AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Furthermore, in September 2019, they completed the "AgilePM™ Foundation" certification from APMG International. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to continuous learning and staying updated in their field.
