Principal & Founder at Sliced Bread

Ellen Siminoff is the founder and current principal of Sliced Bread. Prior to this, they were a product design lead at Financial Engines, Inc., where they designed the first software system to be recognized as a financial advisor by the Securities and Exchange Commission. This enabled millions of people to receive advice on their retirement strategy and investments. Siminoff also grew and managed the product design team and obtained patents during their time at Financial Engines, Inc.

Before working at Financial Engines, Inc., Siminoff was a member of the research staff at Interval Research, where they researched and designed future consumer products with a team of colleagues.

Siminoff's first professional role was as an interaction designer at Apple, where they researched, designed, and created prototypes for 3D interfaces for the Graphics Group in the Advanced Technology Group.

Ellen Siminoff has a MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and a BS in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University.
