Philipp Heckel is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and architecture. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer and Head of Engineering at Slide since June 2023, Philipp also holds the position of Founder and Maintainer of ntfy, a notification service established in October 2021. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Datto, Inc. from January 2015 to April 2023, where Philipp advanced from Senior Software Engineer to Sr. Principal Software Engineer, leading major transformation projects. Additional roles include Solution Architect at Deutsche Bank from September 2011 to December 2014, and co-founder of Silversun Heckel/Merdes GbR. Philipp holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics from the University of Mannheim, along with studies at Singapore Management University and the University of Sussex.
