Chris Smith

Chris Smith is the CEO at Slip Robotics and has held this position since March 2020. Prior to this, Chris was the CTO & Head of Technology at Volley Automation from September 2018 to March 2020. Chris' previous experience also includes working as a Staff Industrial Engineer at Tesla from December 2016 to September 2018 where they led the team responsible for discrete-event factory simulation at the Tesla Gigafactory. Chris has also worked as a Senior Project Leader at Cummins Inc. from June 2015 to December 2016 where they developed a project management tool used by 100+ project managers to identify, prioritize, and manage corporate supply chain improvement projects. Chris got their start at Cummins Inc. as an intern in their Supplier Quality Improvement Intern program from May 2014 to August 2014.

Chris Smith earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Supply Chain Management from Brigham Young University. Chris also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Technology - Manufacturing Systems from Brigham Young University, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Brigham Young University. Chris Smith is also certified by edX in Introduction to R Programming and by SME as a Certified Manufacturing Technologist (CMfgT).
