SMA Foundation is a Warsaw, Poland based patient organisation that works with all those affected by spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). The Foundation's aims are: providing all necessary assistance to SMA patients and their families; supporting integration of SMA patients as valuable members of the society; spreading knowledge and understanding of spinal muscular atrophies among the medical community and the public; supporting the development of effective therapies; and influencing legislative changes to reflect the needs of people with spinal muscular atrophies and their carers.
