Linda Brown

Linda Brown has over 25 years of professional experience in the technology industry. Linda began their career in 1996 at Sybase (formerly PowerSoft) as an Internet Specialist and Sales Rep. In 1997, they joined SilverStream Software as a Senior Support Engineer and Sales Engineer. In 2000, they moved to Novell (formerly SilverStream) as a Software Engineer. From 2006 to 2009, Brown worked at Cox Communications as a Tier II Tech Support Engineer. Linda then joined Dell SecureWorks in 2009 as a Client Services Manager. In 2011, they began working at Citizens Financial Group, Inc. as an Information Security Specialist, then as an Information Security Reporting, Policy and Governance Manager, and finally as a Web Application Security Manager. In 2016, Brown joined Kenna Security as a Customer Success Engineer, then as a Customer Success Engineering Manager, and finally as a Director - Customer Success Engineering. In 2020, they moved to Cisco as a Director, Technical Product Management. Most recently, in 2022, they began working at Smallstep as a Director Risk & Compliance and a Director Customer Success Engineering.

Linda Brown obtained a BA in Psychology and East Asian Studies with an Education Minor from Wittenberg University between 1988 and 1992. In November 2022, they obtained a Diversity and Inclusion certification from Cornell University. Linda is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional from (ISC)².
