Sofia Terpugova

Sofia Terpugova has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sofia is currently the CEO & Co-founder of SmallTalk2.me, an AI-based tool for assessing and improving spoken English. Prior to this, Sofia was an Alumnus of class 26 at Alchemist Accelerator.

Sofia was also a Senior Product Manager at Yandex, where they were responsible for Yandex Video & Video scenarios at Web Search. Their duties included product roadmap planning, UI/UX feature development for desktop and mobile platforms, and deep customer research. Sofia successfully launched multiple projects that significantly increased revenue and key metrics for web search and video search. Additionally, they served as the Product Owner for the mobile app "Yandex. Talk," where they gained experience with Android mobile development and speech recognition technology. Moreover, Sofia created and launched the Yandex Manager School as an Academic Program Manager, establishing it as a strong HR brand for hiring young talents and enabling knowledge sharing among top managers.

Before Yandex, Sofia worked as an Innovation Manager at The National Union of Business Angels, where they conducted startups analysis and provided pitch consulting. Sofia also gained experience as a Project Manager at the Center of Open Systems and High Technologies, managing development and implementation projects, including an e-Government solution.

Sofia's career began at PM Expert, where they worked as a Project Manager. Sofia then joined the Center of Open Systems and High Technologies as a Team Lead/Developer, overseeing the launch of eDocs and Workflow solutions.

Overall, Sofia Terpugova has accumulated a wealth of experience in product management, entrepreneurship, project management, and startup analysis throughout their career.

Sofia Terpugova received their Master's degree in Physics & Math, IT from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) between the years 2000 and 2006. In addition to their degree, they obtained a certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in January 2009.
