Deirdre Rosen

Deirdre Rosen has over 30 years of work experience in the software quality assurance field. Deirdre has held various roles at different companies throughout their career.

At Smarsh, they are currently working as the Director of Quality Engineering since December 2017.

At Jibo, Inc., Deirdre was the Head of SQA in 2017. Deirdre was responsible for building a quality engineering team, implementing programs and processes, and managing the development of voice recognition automation frameworks.

Deirdre spent a significant portion of their career at Oracle, where they held multiple roles. From 2007 to 2014, they served as the Director of Software Quality Assurance for the Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Platform. Deirdre managed a large QA organization across multiple locations and was responsible for implementing testing strategies and delivering releases. Deirdre also introduced internal tools and reporting systems for detailed insights on product testing. From 2002 to 2006, Deirdre was a Senior Manager of QA, where they integrated the Hyperion team into the Fusion Middleware process. In this role, they managed automation efforts and supervised a team of QA engineers. From 1998 to 2001, they were the Manager of BI Beans Automation, where they grew a team responsible for developing and testing a java visual test framework for BI Beans components.

Before their time at Oracle, Deirdre worked at Red Brick Systems, where they were a QE Manager. Deirdre started as the first QE employee and managed a team of 15 members. Deirdre implemented best practices for the SDLC process and ensured QA participation in the design process.

Deirdre's career began at Sybase, where they held various roles. As a Senior Software QA Engineer, they led automated testing efforts for object-oriented management applications. Deirdre also implemented a test management system for compliance with ISO9001 standards. Deirdre later became a Senior Professional Services Consultant and Corporate Training Manager, working on client/server systems development and managing worldwide education for internal consultants and customers.

Deirdre also has experience as an Independent Software Contractor at Lockheed Corporation and Bolt, Beranek & Newman Corporation, where they developed test plans, administered system integration testing, and designed network access systems.

Before joining the software industry, Deirdre worked as a CIM Senior Software Engineer at General Electric's Aircraft Engine Group, where they developed information systems architecture and managed a team that developed an INGRES database.

Overall, Deirdre Rosen has a wealth of experience in managing QA teams, implementing testing strategies, and leading automation efforts across multiple companies in the software industry.

Deirdre Rosen obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Analysis, and an Associate of Science in Management from Bentley University from 1982 to 1984. Deirdre also studied Math for 2 years at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and continued their studies in Mathematics at the same institute. Deirdre Rosen obtained a Scrum Master Certification (SMC) from Scrum Inc. in May 2018.
