Theo Hill

Theo Hill has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Theo is currently employed as a Senior Director, Cognition & ML at Smarsh since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Ebury as a KYC and Fin Crime Technologies Lead from April 2020 to November 2021. Before that, they served as a Data, Analytics and AI Director at Baringa Partners from June 2019 to April 2020. Theo also has experience as an Executive Director at UBS from October 2014 to May 2019, and as a Team Leader, Financial Crime Risk at HSBC from July 2012 to October 2014. Theo began their career at Detica as a Principal Consultant from May 2008 to May 2012, and earlier worked as a Consultant at Experian from 2006 to 2008.

Theo Hill earned a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Vienna between 2002 and 2006. In 2011 and 2012, they obtained a PGCert in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics from Birkbeck, University of London. Before that, between 1998 and 2002, they completed a degree in Biochemistry, specifically an MBioc, at the University of Oxford.
