John Williams

John Williams is a semi-retired professional based in Christchurch, currently serving as a Non-Executive Director at Smartshares Limited since 2015. They recently retired from a full-time career in wholesale investment management, culminating in their role as an Investment Manager at Trust Management, where they led the investment advisory and management function. Previously, John spent six years as a Key Client Manager at Vanguard Australia, and their extensive experience includes positions at Russell Investments, Westpac Investment Management, and Citibank Global Asset Management. John holds a First Class Honours degree in Economics from the University of Canterbury and is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at the University of Auckland.
