Sergei Babaev

Sergei Babaev has over 20 years of work experience in various roles in business development, sales, and management. Sergei is currently serving as the Chief Business Development Officer at Smart Analytics since June 2022. Prior to this role, Sergei worked as the Deputy Chief Engineer and Business Development Director at OOO "PRAYM GRUP", branch in Tver from December 2019 to June 2022. Sergei was responsible for identifying new strategic directions and key clients for software development and implementation business.

Before that, Sergei held the position of Head of Sales and Business Development of BI solutions at Polymedia from November 2018 to October 2020. Sergei also served as the Global Business Development Director for Oracle solutions at Softline Company from October 2017 to September 2018.

Sergei's experience includes working as the Sales Director CIS at Vistex from April 2014 to September 2017, where they were responsible for sales of go-to-market and agribusiness SAP solution extensions in CIS and EE. Sergei also participated in international sales cycles.

From June 2011 to April 2014, Sergei worked as an Account Manager Major at Microsoft. Sergei has also served as the Sales Director of the SAP division at Inline Group from November 2009 to May 2011, where they managed a SAP project and later took responsibility for SAP project sales.

Other positions held by Sergei include Sales Director at Ciber Russia (now Novardis) from May 2009 to November 2009, and Account Team Leader (LE Retail/CPG) at SAP from November 2006 to May 2009. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of ERP product department at R-Style Softlab (Er-Stail Softlab) from May 2002 to October 2006, where they played a key role in the development and successful go-to-market of a new version of a transaction-class system called RS-Balance 3.

Sergei Babaev pursued higher education starting in 1990 at Moscow State University of Food Production (MGUPP), where they earned a degree in biotechnology with a focus on enzymology. Sergei attended the university from 1990 to 1995. Later, in 1998 and 1999, Sergei enrolled at Moscow Higher Bank School at Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics, and Informatics, where they received an Antirecessionary MBA diploma, specializing in Antirecessionary MBA.
