Cameron Hanson is a seasoned professional in design strategy and customer experience, currently serving as Strategy Director at Smart Design since March 2021, previously holding the title of Associate Strategy Director. Prior experience includes Engagement Lead at Service Design DC (SDN DC Chapter) and Lead Associate - Design Strategy at Booz Allen Hamilton, where Cameron led the USDA Office of Customer Experience contract. As a Design Strategy Consultant from June 2016 to August 2017, Cameron worked with various clients, including Barilla Food Company and Parsons School of Design. Additional experience encompasses roles at Vessel Works as Director of Experience Design, and a Design Researcher position at the New York City Mayor's Office of Operations. Early career positions include account and media planning roles at Team One and Saatchi & Saatchi, following an internship at Universal McCann. Cameron holds an MFA in Transdisciplinary Design from Parsons School of Design and a BA in International Relations and Media Studies from Claremont McKenna College.
