Steve Polenske

Steve Polenske has an extensive career with Smart & Final, having joined the company in January 1985 and progressing through various roles including Store Associate, Store Manager, District Manager, and ultimately holding positions as Director of Loss Prevention & Shrink and Director of Operation Services. Responsible for overseeing 20 stores in South Orange County and San Diego County, Steve manages approximately 1,000 store associates, focusing on store conditions, merchandising, program execution, and training. Prior to Smart & Final, Steve worked as a Chef at Victoria Station from 1983 to 1985. Educational background includes studies at USC Marshall School of Business, Cerritos College, and El Toro High School, graduating in 1983.
