Smart Green IT (SGIT) is a software engineering and information technology company that assists other companies in implementing best practices for developing sustainable IT, green software, and data solutions. Our focus is on creating solutions that avoid compromising the long-term operation and maintenance capabilities of them to our clients and are environmentally friendly.

Our business lines encompass three main areas:

Accompany the adoption and adaptation of sustainability practices for existing software and data solutions.
Co-build new technology solutions with an emphasis on sustainable IT and green software.
Provide training to software and data engineering teams on best practices for sustainability in IT, green software, and software and data quality.

In 2018, Alejandro thought up the Circle of Influence for Software Quality (CISQ). All 2022 and 2023 long, we ideated the Circle of Influence for Sustainability in IT (CISIT). The CISIT is based on Cindy's and Alejandro's experience in sustainability and IT. We are enthusiastic about software sustainability (SOS) and Software as part of Sustainability (SAPOS).

As tech people. If we apply agile culture, good practices, design principles, and architecture patterns when developing, maintaining, and using software products, we will be contributing not only to economic but to environmental sustainability because software affects electric energy consumption and other resources. A single data center can consume the equivalent electricity of 50,000 homes, and the electricity production creates more greenhouse gases than every car and airplane combined.
