Eric Engstrom

Eric Engstrom has extensive work experience in the field of research and development, primarily in the areas of software engineering and technology integration. Eric worked as a Senior Principal Researcher and Chief Information Officer at SIFT, where they served as a project lead, design architect, and integration expert on various projects. Eric also had responsibility for managing the network and computing security aspects of the company's operations. Prior to SIFT, Eric worked at Honeywell Aerospace as a Principal Research Scientist, where they were involved in DARPA and NASA research and development projects. Their areas of expertise included Formal Methods, Model-Based Development, and Planning and Control for Multi-UAV systems. Eric's work at Honeywell also involved being a primary technical contributor on numerous programs and being instrumental in the development of a graphical model-based development tool set and framework.

Eric Engstrom attended the University of Minnesota from 1997 to 1999, where they studied Software Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Macalester College from 1986 to 1990 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, with a focus on Philosophy. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) from GIAC in December 2015 and the ScrumMaster certification from Danube Technologies in 2008.
