Mark Burstein serves as a Research Fellow and Principal Scientist at Smart Information Flow Technologies (SIFT) since October 2010, overseeing the Boston office. Previously, Burstein held the position of Principal Scientist at BBN Technologies from June 1984 to January 2011, and was a PhD student at Yale University from 1977 to 1984. Burstein earned a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from Yale University and holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed between 1972 and 1976.
