Smart Performance Coaching (SPC) empowers athletes and everyday individuals to perform, fuel, and live smarter.
Founded by endurance coaches Darren Gibbons and Alex Knowles, SPC delivers evidence-based training, mindset development, and performance education for those striving to reach their potential—whether that’s completing an Ironman, running their first ultramarathon, or simply leading a healthier, more purposeful life.

Our coaching philosophy is built on three pillars: Performance, Purpose, and Progress.
We combine structured, data-driven programming with a deep understanding of psychology, nutrition, and lifestyle balance. Every plan is designed around the individual—aligning goals with sustainable progress and smarter recovery.

Beyond coaching, SPC fosters a community of athletes who value growth, resilience, and continual learning. Through events, workshops, and the Smarter Than Yesterday podcast, we share real-world insights from athletes, coaches, and specialists who challenge the boundaries of what’s possible.

Train with intention. Live with purpose. Become smarter than yesterday.
