Sanas Mir-Bashiri

Medical Affairs Consultant at Smart Reporting

Sanas Mir-Bashiri began their work experience as a Bachelor Thesis student at Helmholtz Zentrum München in 2016. Sanas then worked as a Student Associate at the German Center for Vertigo and Balance Disorders from March 2016 to August 2016. In January 2017, they interned at the Institute for Human Genetics and later in August 2017, completed an internship at the Walther Straub Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology. From September 2016 to March 2018, they worked as a Student Associate at the Center for Human Genetics and Laboratory Diagnostics. In 2018, they joined LMU - Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München as a Research Associate and also completed an Internship and Master Thesis from April 2018 to February 2019. Sanas then worked at Smart Reporting GmbH, starting as a Medical Editor from August 2019 to July 2020. Sanas later became a Senior Medical Affairs Specialist from July 2020 to March 2022 and currently holds the role of Medical Affairs Consultant. Sanas has also recently started their Ph.D. program as a Ph.D. Student at LMU Klinikum München in March 2022.

Sanas Mir-Bashiri's education history is as follows:

From 2022 to 2025, Sanas pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Adrenal Research at the Collaborative Research Center/Transregio 205. Simultaneously, they also completed a PhD in Medical Research, specializing in Endocrinology, at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München during the same time period.

Prior to their PhD degrees, Sanas obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Biology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 2016 to 2019.

Before their master's degree, from 2013 to 2016, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.

Sanas began their academic journey with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Near and Middle Eastern Studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 2011 to 2015.

In addition to their formal academic qualifications, Sanas has also completed various certifications and workshops. Some notable certifications include the Young and Clinician Scientist Workshop from the Collaborative Research Center/Transregio 205 in March 2023, the Good Scientific Practice workshop at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in February 2023, and the Young Scientist Workshop from the Collaborative Research Center/Transregio 205 in November 2022.

Sanas has also participated in other professional development activities such as the Symposium Progress in Primary Aldosteronism at LMU Klinikum München in October 2022 and the ESE Summer School 2022 organized by the European Society of Endocrinology in July 2022.

Furthermore, Sanas has acquired additional skills outside their field of study, including a Spanish Course (A2) from Escuela Delengua in February 2022, an Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python course from Coursera in November 2021, and a Starting Up - From Ideas to Successful Business workshop from LMU Entrepreneurship Center in March 2018.

During their academic journey, Sanas also contributed to the academic community by working as a tutor through LMU TutorPlus at LMU Biocenter starting from December 2015. Additionally, they served as a Student Consulter for StuSer e.V in April 2015.
