Stanislav Melnikov

Stanislav Melnikov has over 25 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Stanislav is currently working as a Senior Principal Engineer at Smart Reporting GmbH since May 2020. Before that, they worked at Definiens, The Tissue Phenomics Company for 14 years, holding positions such as Senior Principal Engineer, Manager of Software Development, and Lead of "Platform Software" Development Team. During their time at Definiens, they were responsible for software development, architecture, and management of image analysis software, as well as designing and implementing complex distributed software and data management systems. Prior to that, Stanislav worked as a Senior Programmer at ReEncryption Development, SER Storage Technology GmbH, Pixell Daten & Design, Weidlinger Associates, Inc., University of Colorado Boulder, Research Institute of Automated Systems for Planning and Control in Construction, Department of Nuclear Safety of Government Atom Supervision of Ukraine, and Special Design Bureau "Pivden". Their roles in these positions included responsibilities such as software development, project management, and GUI development. Overall, Stanislav has a diverse background in software engineering, with expertise in image analysis, computer vision algorithms, machine learning, and distributed systems.

Stanislav Melnikov obtained their Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Kiev Polytechnic Institute from 1987 to 1990. During this time, they specialized in computer simulation of complex nonlinear mechanical systems. Prior to their Ph.D., Stanislav completed their Master's degree in Civil Engineering at the Civil Engineering Institute in Kiev, USSR, from 1980 to 1985.
