Roger Wise

Professor Roger Wise is Smart Separations’ Manufacturing Manager. He has a degree in Physics from the University of Exeter and a PGDC from the same University. He has a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge, an MBA (Open University) and is a visiting Professor at the University of Hertfordshire.

Roger spent most of his career at TWI, undertaking and leading contract R&D for industry, and he has won and led many UK Government and EU contracts. He also spent 7 years managing TWI’s Advanced Materials & Process group (50 people developing joining technology mainly in non metallics) to profitability.

Roger has written a book about welding plastics, many other journal and conference papers, and is an inventor on more than 5 patents. From 2000-2003 he worked for Antenova Ltd where he was Engineering Director in charge of the manufacture of the ceramic antennas.
