Thomas Willemain

Tom directs Smart Software’s research and advanced development of forecasting and demand planning technology. He is also a Professor Emeritus of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Dr. Willemain’s public service activities included engineering work with NASA, sabbatical visits to the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Security Agency, and further service in the Intelligence Community at the Institute for Defense Analyses Center for Computing Sciences. Previously Tom served on the faculties of both MIT and Harvard University. He received his BSE degree from Princeton University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from MIT.
