Dr. Regina Wehler

Dr. Regina Wehler has a diverse work experience in software engineering, research, and academia. Dr. Regina currently works at Smart4Diagnostics GmbH as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead. In this role, they lead a team developing various applications, including browser and mobile applications implemented in Vue.js and React Native. Dr. Regina is responsible for analyzing feature requests, planning and designing their implementation, and coordinating with the development team.

Prior to their current role, Dr. Wehler worked as a Software Developer at Smart4Diagnostics GmbH, where they designed and implemented algorithms in Python for analyzing human sample tubes as part of the S4DX checkin-device.

Dr. Wehler also has experience in academia, having worked as a Student Researcher at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. Dr. Regina contributed to the development of a framework for analyzing diffusion magnetic resonance images (dMRI) of the human brain using machine learning techniques.

Continuing their academic journey, Dr. Wehler obtained a Dr. rer. nat. degree in Biochemie und Molekularbiologie from The University of Bonn between 2013 and 2018. Finally, they attended the Bonn-Aachen International Center for Information Technology (B-IT) from 2017 to 2019, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Life Science Informatics.
