Galit Cohen

Galit Cohen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the humanitarian sector. Currently serving as a Board Member at SMARTAID, Galit focuses on integrating innovative technologies in humanitarian contexts. As the Director of Ripples for Change since 2013, Galit leads strategy development and fosters partnerships while providing support to beneficiaries. Additionally, Galit co-authored the book "Putting Charities to Work," which promotes income-generating strategies for non-profit organizations. Previous roles include Health Programme Manager at the Donald Woods Foundation, where Galit enhanced HIV and tuberculosis care in rural South Africa, and National Director of Projects at Afrika Tikkun, responsible for managing multi-million-dollar project budgets. Galit holds a Master's degree in Public Health with a focus on Emergencies and Disaster Management from Tel Aviv University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management from The Open University Israel.
