Chris Tate

Chris Tate, CMA, has over 20 years of accounting experience, currently serving as a Senior Accountant at SmartBank since July 2020. Prior to this role, Chris held similar senior accountant positions at CUPA-HR from August 2012 to July 2020 and at BankEast/Curtis Mortgage Company from June 2005 to June 2012. Earlier career experience includes roles as Coordinator of Financial Services at Bethel Bible Village and Project Accountant at Stormont Hospitality Group. Chris's expertise encompasses month-end closing processes, financial statement production, investment activity reconciliation, and annual audit facilitation. Chris has also demonstrated a commitment to process improvement, notably through the development of efficient procedures and financial tracking sheets for management. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Berry College, attained in 1999.
