Alicia A. currently serves as a Clinical Education Specialist and Regional Product Specialist at Smartbox Assistive Technology since November 2021, and previously worked at Providence Health & Services from 2017 to November 2021 as a Pediatric AAC Specialist/SLP. Alicia has extensive experience in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and pediatric speech-language pathology, having held positions at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare, Intermediate School District 287, and Portland Public Schools, along with various internships. Educationally, Alicia holds a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Minnesota. Throughout the career, Alicia has supervised complex care plans, trained staff, collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, and advocated for children with communication needs.
