Robert Tepp

Robert Tepp has extensive experience in technical safety services and renewable energy construction project management. Robert currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at SmartConnect | Connected Workforce Solutions, providing connected workforce solutions and technical safety support to clients in industrial settings. Prior to this, they worked as the General Manager of Technical Safety Services at Certified Safety, Inc. from 2015 to 2020. Robert also served as an EPC Project Manager at Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. and RMT from 2013 to 2015 and 2010 to 2013, respectively. Tepp started their career at Georgia Pacific/Mead Papers and Bailey Controls Company, where they worked as a Technical Engineer/Shift Supervisor/Assistant Supt and Field Application Engineer/Systems Engineer, respectively. Robert holds expertise in project management, risk management, safety management, engineering, and procurement.

Robert Tepp obtained their undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science, with a major in Paper Science and Engineering and a minor in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1989. Robert also completed Process Control Engineering Courses at Bailey Controls Company Training Center, with a focus on Process Control Theory and Recovery Boiler Operation and Control. Additionally, they attended Engineering Professional Program Courses at the University of Washington, specializing in Infiltration Facility Design for Storm Water Control and Construction Site Erosion & Sediment Controls. Robert also received a Mid Management Certificate through the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completing courses in Project Management, Managing Organizational Change, and Developing Management Skills. It is not clear when they studied at the latter three institutions.
