Frank Schmitt

Frank Schmitt has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Frank is currently the Managing Director at smartengine wtec since September 2020. Prior to that, they served as the General Manager Smart Buildings at ROM Technik GmbH & Co. KG starting in May 2020. Frank also held the position of Vorstand, CTO at euromicron AG from February 2019 to August 2020. Frank has also worked at Freudenberg IT GmbH & Co. KG as the Head of IoT & Data Science from December 2018 to January 2019. Before that, they had various roles at T-Systems International GmbH including Vice President IOT/Industry Products from August 2015 to October 2018, Head of Product Development Connected Car from March 2013 to July 2015, and Head of Competence Centers, Industry Business Development from March 2012 to March 2013.

Frank Schmitt completed their education in physics at two prestigious institutions. From 1996 to 2000, they attended Heidelberg University, where they earned a Dr rer nat degree in physics. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1996, Frank studied at Technische Universität Darmstadt, where they obtained a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in physics.
