Michael Orefice

Michael Orefice is the Senior Vice President of Operations at SmartFinancial. Michael has over eight years of experience in marketing and business development.

Orefice began their career as the Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development at LocalSplash.com. Michael was with the company for less than a year, but they were able to help the company grow and expand their product offerings. LocalSplash.com was named the 113th fastest growing company in the US by Inc. Magazine.

In August 2011, Orefice became the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development and Product Evangelist at 29 Prime. Michael was with the company for two years and during that time, the company grew from $600k in monthly revenue to over $2M. Orefice was also instrumental in growing the client base from less than 4,000 monthly clients to over 12,000. In 2013, 29 Prime was recognized by Inc Magazine as the 36th fastest growing company in America.

Orefice joined SmartFinancial as the Senior Vice President of Operations in July 2013. In this role, they oversee all aspects of operations for the company.

Michael Orefice holds a B.A. in Political Science from American University, a Certification in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University, and an Executive Education in Integrating Finance and Marketing: A Strategic Framework from The Wharton School. Michael also holds an MBA in Business from The George Washington University and a Regents Diploma in General Studies from Williamsville North. Additionally, they are certified by Google in Google Adwords and by the (ISSA) International Sports Sciences Association in Specialist in Fitness Nutrition.

They work with Brian Roulstone - SVP of Call Product & Operations, Sheena Apte - Director of People Operations, and George Samen - Director of Contact Center Operations. Michael Orefice reports to Nate Kropp, Founder & COO.
