Michael Walker has a diverse work experience in sales and account management roles.
Michael started their career in 2011 as an Inside Sales representative at Springhouse Education and Consulting Services, where they achieved 100%+ yearly quota attainment while selling Microsoft certified training and consulting services.
In 2013, they joined Iron Mountain as an Inside Sales representative for Data Backup & Recovery, and later that year, they moved to Cvent as an Account Executive, where they progressed through various roles, including Inside Sales, Mid-Market Sales, and Enterprise Sales. Michael excelled in closing new business opportunities and was recognized as the second-highest producer of net new revenue and in quarterly presentations to executive leadership.
In 2017, they joined Aventri as an Account Executive, focusing on net new customer acquisition from Fortune 1,000 companies.
Since 2018, Michael has been working at Smartling, where they initially served as a Senior Account Manager, managing a multi-million dollar book of business with key strategic accounts. Michael'sresponsibilities included retention of existing licensing and services, as well as achieving annual expansion of 20%. Michael successfully achieved 100%+ net revenue retention for four consecutive years. In 2021, they were promoted to Team Lead for Renewals, and in 2023 they transitioned to the role of Account Executive.
Michael Walker completed their high school education at Coatesville High School from 2002 to 2006. Following that, they went on to pursue a degree in Applied Communications with a focus on Adult & Organizational Development at Temple University, which they completed from 2006 to 2011.
