Dan Ivovich

Director of Engineering at SmartLogic

Dan Ivovich is the current Director of Engineering at SmartLogic. Prior to this, they worked as a software engineer at Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems from June 2007 to April 2011. There, they were responsible for web-based projects and developing departmental applications using Ruby on Rails, Django, and ASP.NET MVC. Dan also configured and maintained web application stacks on Red Hat 5 servers and integrated a wide variety of database products.

In January 2008, they began working on web and networked systems, developing a web-based Java application built on the Spring framework and Hibernate with MySQL. Dan also utilized web standards to create a multi-node web application system. In June 2007, they started working on embedded systems and updated an existing emulator to new specifications. Dan also developed a low-level device driver for new in-house hardware using C/C++ on VxWorks 5.5.

Dan Ivovich has a BS in Comuter Science and Engineering from Bucknell University and an MS in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University.

Some direct reports include Chris Preisinger - Developer, Anna Dorigo - Developer, and Sundi Myint - Engineering Manager. They work with Carrie Bracy - Project Manager, Meghan Butler - Operations & Project Manager, and Harper Atlas - Product Designer. Their manager is Yair Flicker, President.
