Andres Ledesma

Andres Ledesma's work experience begins in 2007 when they worked as a Software Developer at GEO Soluciones Integrales in Mexico City. Andres developed and deployed web applications using the LAMP stack and also handled Linux system administration and service installation. In 2012, they had an internship at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, where they worked as a Developer and Research Trainee, focusing on developing a web-based cognitive assessment software. Andres then became a Software Engineer at VTT, where they worked on designing, developing, and deploying software solutions for clinical care, as well as counseling colleagues on web technologies. In 2013, they joined the University of Cyprus as a Doctoral Candidate, focusing on decentralized online social networks and developing peer-to-peer web-based networks. In 2014, they continued their doctoral studies at Tampere University, working as a Project Researcher and Software Developer. Here they worked on SOAP integration for PDF exchange and visualization applications for health data. In 2015, they joined Movendos as a Software Engineer and later became a Senior Software Engineer and Software Architect. Here they worked with Java Spring MVC, NodeJS, React/Redux, and PHP, as well as Amazon Web Services. In 2020, they joined Nokia as a UI Lead Architect, working on back-end development, systems integration, and React/Redux development. Lastly, in 2021, they joined Smartly.io as a Senior Software Engineer and eventually became a Lead Engineer.

Andres Ledesma has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey, which they obtained between 2004 and 2009. Andres later pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Åbo Akademi University from 2010 to 2012. More recently, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Tampere University from 2015 to 2020.
