Joe Schaefer

Joe Schaefer is a performer and learning and development professional currently based in New York City. With over a decade of experience in China, Joe wrote and performed for TV, print, and social media, contributing significantly to the Shanghai comedy scene. They served as a copy editor at Shanghai Media Group and later held various roles, including corporate trainer and writer, before becoming a sales training facilitator at TikTok. Currently, Joe is the training manager and product evangelist at Smartly, where they focus on creating engaging and impactful company training sessions. Joe holds a Bachelor's degree in Japanese Language and Literature from The Ohio State University, along with additional studies in Japanese and Chinese language programs.
