smartmicro – Radar Technology for Safer, Smarter Mobility

smartmicro is a global leader in advanced radar sensor technology. Headquartered in Braunschweig, Germany, we develop and manufacture high-performance radar solutions for both automotive and traffic management applications.

Founded in 1997, we bring over 25 years of innovation to the mobility sector. Our DRVEGRD® automotive radars are trusted by global OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. These 4D ultra-high-resolution sensors support advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, and Lane Change Assist.

In the traffic industry, smartmicro’s TRUGRD® and TOPGRD® sensors deliver precise multi-object tracking across multiple lanes. They’re used worldwide to optimize urban traffic flow, improve safety at intersections, support highway traffic monitoring, and enable enforcement solutions.

All products are designed, engineered, and tested in-house to meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Our scalable sensor platforms and modular software allow for seamless integration into a wide range of applications.

At smartmicro, we are driven by a clear mission: to make mobility safer and more efficient through cutting-edge radar technology.
