Maarten Hogeweg

Maarten Hogeweg has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Maarten is currently the Chief Commercial Officer at SmartNow, a Dutch technology provider that specializes in smartly connected self-service machines. Prior to that, Maarten served as the General Manager at Waterdream, where they were responsible for daily management and long-term strategy. Maarten also worked as the Business Development Manager at Moonen Yachts, focusing on developing new business and partnerships.

Maarten had a long tenure at KPN, a leading telecommunications and IT service provider in the Netherlands. During their time there, they held various positions including Manager Sales Support LAN & Office, Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, and Sales Executive Mobile.

Earlier in their career, Maarten gained valuable experience as an intern at ARCADIS, where they worked on a calculation model for tunnel ventilation, and at Damen Shipyards, where they familiarized himself with the mechanical engineering industry.

Maarten Hogeweg obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Studies, specializing in Marketing, from the University of Amsterdam between 2008 and 2010. Following that, they participated in the KPN Leadership Talent Program from 2010 to 2018, where they were a part of the High Potential class. Prior to their master's degree, Hogeweg pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) from 2002 to 2008.
