Heidi Newcomb

Heidi Newcomb has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Heidi currently works at SmartRent as a Quality Assurance Engineer, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Client Success QA Specialist at the same company from September 2021 to November 2022, and as a Client Support Specialist from January 2021 to September 2021.

Before joining SmartRent, Heidi worked at State Farm from August 2013 to January 2021 as a Sales representative. Heidi also worked at Valley Yellow Pages as an Account Executive for outside mobile, internet, and print sales from July 2012 to August 2013.

Additionally, Heidi has experience as an Adjunct Instructor at ITT Technical Institute from August 2011 to July 2012, and as a Premier Designs Executive from August 2010 to August 2011. Heidi started their career as an Intern at Global Studio from June 2008 to December 2008 while studying at the University of Nevada Reno.

Furthermore, Heidi has worked as a Student Assistant at the University of Nevada Reno in the Human Development and Family Studies department from August 2006 to December 2008. Prior to that, they worked as a Receptionist at Certified Employment Group from June 2005 to August 2005.

Heidi's earliest work experience was as a Manager/Buyer at Accents, where they started as a sales clerk and was promoted to store manager within two years. Heidi oversaw various operations, including finance, human resources, and product integration, while also resolving customer complaints. Their tenure at Accents lasted from October 2001 to December 2003.

Heidi Newcomb has a diverse education history. Heidi started their higher education journey at American River College from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. Heidi then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism-Advertising at the University of Nevada, Reno from 2006 to 2008. Continuing their education, Heidi attended ITT Tech from 2009 to 2011, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Marketing.

In addition to their formal education, Heidi has also obtained several certifications. In October 2022, they completed the "Mastering Common Interview Questions" certification program offered by LinkedIn. In December 2022, they completed certifications including "5 Common Test Failures," "Hands-On Introduction: SQL," "How to Have Productive One-on-One Meetings," "Programming Foundations: Software Testing/QA," "SQL for Testers," and "Top Five Things to Know in SQL," all provided by LinkedIn. Most recently, in January 2023, Heidi completed the "MySQL Essential Training" certification program from LinkedIn.
