Matt Lorey

Matt Lorey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Matt is currently employed at SmartRent, where they started in 2018 as the Senior Director of Technology before being promoted to Vice President of Technology in 2020 and then to Senior Vice President of Technology in October 2022. Before joining SmartRent, Matt worked at Consolidated Knowledge as a Principal Software Engineer from February 2016 to June 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Software Engineering - Web Development at Voice Media Group from July 2015 to February 2016. Matt also has a long tenure at Voice Media Group, where they served as the Web Development Manager from October 2011 to July 2015 and as a Web Developer from July 2010 to October 2011. Their earliest work experience was at 2Wire, where they started as a Technical Support Representative in June 2003 and progressed to various roles such as Technical Support Supervisor, Planning and Reporting Analyst, Reporting and Application Development Supervisor, and eventually, as a Webmaster from September 2008 to July 2010.

Matt Lorey attended the University of Arizona from 2000 to 2001, studying Computer Science. Following this, they pursued a degree in Information Technology at the University of Phoenix from 2007 to 2010, where they successfully obtained an Associate of Arts degree.
