Michael Ison

Michael Ison has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Michael is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at SmartSearch since October 2022. Previously, they worked at Patriot Software, LLC where they held various roles and positions. From September 2021 to October 2022, they served as the Head of Special Projects, overseeing important initiatives. From June 2020 to September 2021, they worked as the VP of Platform, responsible for managing the Platform Engineering department and creating technology roadmaps. Prior to that, from July 2019 to June 2020, they held the position of Director of Engineering, managing multiple development teams and establishing an architecture team. Michael also worked as the Director of Applications Development from September 2018 to July 2019 and as a Principal Software Engineer from May 2016 to September 2018.

Before joining Patriot Software, LLC, Michael Ison worked as a Senior Software Engineer at OEConnection from April 2007 to April 2016. Michael was a Lead Software Engineer at Accela Inc. from August 2006 to March 2007. Michael also served as a Senior Software Engineer at Navitaire International from April 2006 to October 2006. In addition, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Emerson Process Management from February 2004 to March 2006. Furthermore, they began their career as a Software Engineer at International Financial Systems from 1999 to 2001.

Michael Ison earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of the Philippines. Michael attended the university from 1991 to 1995.
