Michael Federkeil is a seasoned engineering professional with over two decades of experience in mechanical and optical engineering. Since March 2004, Michael has served as the Manager of Mechanical & Optical Engineering at SMART Technologies, where responsibilities include managing a diverse team, overseeing product development projects, and enhancing engineering processes. Prior roles include Senior Mechanical Engineer at SMART Technologies, where Michael focused on product design and development, and Mechanical Engineer at Advanced Design Inc., providing contract design services across various industries. Michael began the career as a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Nortel Networks, contributing to thermal management and product design. Michael holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
