Chad Halcom

Chad Halcom has a diverse professional background in journalism, technical training, and nonprofit leadership. Chad served as a reporter for The Macomb Daily from 1997 to 2007, focusing on courts and crime, and later held a similar reporter position at Crain Communications from May 2007 to January 2017, covering suburban business, litigation, and higher education. Chad transitioned to technical roles, becoming a Technical Trainer at SME in November 2022 and previously serving as a Technical Training Instructor at Wayne County Michigan from March 2022 to November 2022. In addition, Chad worked as a consultant for Merit Network in mid-2017. Chad briefly held the position of Interim Outreach Director at the Macomb County Warming Center from October 2017 to May 2018, where responsibilities included donor solicitation and event planning to support homeless assistance efforts in the region.
