Doug Baker is an accomplished engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the automotive, transportation, and energy sectors. As the Founder and CTO of TECAT Performance Systems since December 2011, Doug has focused on enhancing operational performance through innovative, low-cost wireless measurement and monitoring technologies. Doug also serves as a Consultant for the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and has been the Founder of TECAT Engineering Inc. since February 1997, where notable developments include digital circuitry for engine controls, thermodynamic system simulations, and optimization engineering solutions. Previously, Doug founded NexTier Diesel Engines and MANAGE Inc., making significant strides in high-power density engine development and engine simulation technologies. Doug holds a PhD, MS, and BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BS in General Engineering from Eastern Illinois University.
