Gene Holder

Gene Holder is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker and 25 years in educational roles focused on manufacturing careers. Currently serving as the Founder and President of American Apprenticeship Consulting LLC since July 2022, Gene provides consulting services to employers and educational institutions to enhance youth recruitment and training for apprenticeships. As an Education Professional with SME Chapter 82 since 2007 and having held various leadership roles, including Chairman in 2016 and the incoming Chairman for 2024, Gene advocates for youth employment in manufacturing. Previously, extensive tenure as a Metals Technology instructor in multiple educational settings, including Lee County Schools and Guilford County Schools, underscores Gene's commitment to preparing students for successful careers in the manufacturing sector. Academic achievements include degrees in Machining and Mechanical Engineering and certification in NIMS Machining Level I.
