Ricardo Tedim has held various positions throughout their career. Ricardo started at MobiComp as a Software Engineer, working on software solutions for the retail and mobile sectors. Ricardo then became a Product Manager and Software Architect, leading a team in developing the MobileKeeper product, which led to MobiComp's acquisition by Microsoft.
Upon joining Microsoft, Tedim became the Principal Development Manager, overseeing software development for products and technology from the Braga R&D center. Ricardo played a key role in integrating the engineering team into Microsoft tools and processes, and led the development of high-profile products such as the My Phone mobile service and Windows Phone 7 OS.
Tedim then moved on to iMobileMagic, where they served as the Head of R&D and Professional Services. Ricardo managed a team of engineers and led the creation of bespoke mobile experiences for clients, as well as developing a B2B2C white label product for family location and protection services.
Currently, Tedim is the Senior Director of Engineering at Smith Micro Software, Inc. Ricardo leads the engineering organization responsible for the SafePath Family product, managing cross-functional teams and implementing agile development processes. Ricardo also oversaw the successful integration of the iMobileMagic team into the company.
Throughout their career, Tedim has demonstrated strong leadership skills, successfully managing teams and delivering innovative products.
Ricardo Tedim attended Universidade do Minho from 1995 to 2000, where they studied Engenharia de Sistemas e Informática. In 2014, they obtained a certification as a Mentor from Pitch Bootcamp.
