Robin Rone

Head, DEI at SmithBucklin

Robin Rone has worked in various roles throughout their career. Robin currently holds the position of Head of DEI and Senior Director of Association Management at Smithbucklin since December 2018. Prior to that, they worked at the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division as a Division Director and Director from September 2013 to December 2018. From 1999 to 2001, they served as a Commission Editor & Project Manager at Fitzroy Dearborn Publishers. Before that, they were an Editor at The University of Chicago from August 1998 to September 1999. From November 1994 to August 1998, they worked as the Director of Communications at The National Security Archive. Robin also served as a Communications Consultant at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of the American Indian from July 1994 to November 1994. Their career started at Howard University, where they worked as an Associate Editor from December 1990 to July 1994.

Robin Rone (she/her) earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Howard University from 1985 to 1990. Robin later pursued a Masters of Arts degree in American Studies from The George Washington University, studying from 1997 to 2000. In addition to their degrees, they obtained certifications in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace and Understanding and Supporting ADHD Colleagues in the Workplace, from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education and LinkedIn respectively.
