Ellen Schmidt

Ellen Schmidt is a seasoned landscape architect with over 20 years of experience in diverse project types, encompassing resort planning, residential design, education, recreation, streetscapes, and plazas. Ellen's career includes roles as a Landscape Designer at Mariani Landscape and DHM Design, as well as positions at The Lakota Group and SmithGroup, where Ellen currently serves as Senior Landscape Architect. Notably, Ellen worked at the Chicago Department of Transportation as Assistant Project Director for Livable Streets, managing urban design projects and mentoring new project managers. Ellen holds a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University, obtained in 2004.
