Ben MacDonald FCMA is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in sustainability, finance, and procurement within the Smiths Group, having served in various leadership roles since 2000. Currently, as VP of Sustainability, ESG, and Indirect Procurement at Smiths Group plc, Ben oversees significant financial responsibilities, including £0.5 billion in indirect procurement and manages the group's ESG reporting and Net Zero initiatives. Previous positions include Finance Director at Smiths Detection and Smiths Medical, where Ben led global operations, supply chain finance, and sustainability strategies. Ben holds multiple degrees and certifications, including a Master's in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge and memberships in the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply.
