Liam King

Liam King has a diverse work experience in the finance field. Liam is currently serving as the Director of Internal Audit & Risk at Smiths Group plc since May 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Smiths Detection, where they held various positions including Finance Director, Global Financial Services from November 2017 to May 2021, Head of Finance, EMEA from January 2015 to November 2017, and Interim Finance Director from March 2014 to January 2015. Before joining Smiths Detection, Liam worked at Smiths Group plc as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager from December 2012 to March 2014. Liam started their career at Smiths Medical, where they held roles such as Assistant Financial Controller from July 2011 to November 2012 and various Finance & Commercial Analyst roles from December 2004 to July 2011.

Liam King completed their education at the Chartered Management Institute, where they achieved the degree of Fellow in 2020. Liam also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cranfield School of Management in the same year. In 2017, Liam attended UCLA Anderson School of Management for an Executive Finance Leadership Course, specializing in finance. Earlier, between 2008 and 2011, they studied at The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
