Tom Steiner

Tom Steiner is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in corporate and financial communications. Currently serving as Head of External Communications at Smiths Group plc since September 2022, Tom previously held significant roles at Pearson from March 2015 to September 2022, including Vice President of Corporate & Financial Communications, where responsibilities included leading corporate media communications and managing the Annual Report. Prior to Pearson, Tom served as External Relations & Corporate Affairs Lead at GE Capital from February 2012 to March 2015, overseeing affairs for an international business spanning over 30 countries. Earlier career milestones include leadership roles at Capital MS&L and Edelman, and a foundation in marketing as a Marketing Executive at CB.Net. Tom holds an MA in Politics from the University of Nottingham and a BA in Politics from the University of Liverpool.
