Cynthia E. Smith

Cynthia E. Smith has extensive experience in design and curation, currently serving as the Curator of Socially Responsible Design at the Smithsonian Institution since 2005. Prior to this role, Cynthia was involved in planning and design at LHS Architecture + Design from 1991 to 2004 and held the position of Past President at GLID from 2000 to 2001. In 2000, Cynthia represented New York on the Democratic National Platform Committee. Educationally, Cynthia earned a Mid-Career MPA from Harvard Kennedy School in 2005 and a BSID in Industrial Design from The Ohio State University between 1984 and 1987.
